Theft Guarantee (VOL)

 What we guarantee We guarantee the insured vehicle against damage resulting from its disappearance or deterioration following theft or attempted theft as well as those resulting from the removal or decline of items located inside the passenger compartment stolen independently of the vehicle if they fall within the definition of the insured vehicle.

 Theft and attempted theft are only guaranteed; however, when serious Evidence confirming the thief's intention to steal the insured vehicle or an element of the insured vehicle is established.

 These indices are in particular made up of material traces found on the insured vehicle: In the event of attempted theft of the car or robbery of interior elements attached to the vehicle if they fall within the definition of the insured vehicle:

 - deterioration linked to penetration into the passenger compartment by breaking in without the help of the unlocking or starting devices of the car while all the vehicle doors appear to be locked, the passenger compartment closed, its immobiliser protection systems activated,  - break-in of the locks, - modification of the electrical connections of the starter, or damage linked to theft or attempted

 Theft of the components fixed inside the vehicle.  In the event of theft committed by acts of violence preceding the robbery against the driver or guardian of the car:

 - Police or gendarmerie report.  In the event of theft committed with the unlocking and starting devices of the vehicle if they have been stolen:

 in an apartment building provided that the building has been visited illegally despite its locked accesses and other closed openings;  - or in any other place by clandestine introduction into a locked room allocated for the personal use of the caretaker or

 Owner of the vehicle or if the room is for everyday use.  In case of discovery of the car after theft:

 - the clues above, - the forcing of the steering or its anti-theft device, - the modification of the electrical connections which allowed

 Starting the vehicle. 

To be guaranteed, you must, however:

 not having left, in or on the car, the ignition keys, having closed and locked the doors and other openings

 of the vehicle.  In the event of a claim, we will demand the delivery of the keys.  With our prior agreement, we also reimburse the costs incurred for the recovery of the insured vehicle within the limit of 3,000 dirhams.

 The application of this guarantee is subject to the delivery by the insured of a compliant certificate.  It is expressly agreed under penalty of forfeiture that the guarantee

 Theft is acquired only on the condition that the insured vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft device and that the latter has been damaged, according to experts, following a theft except in the case of theft committed using acts of violence.

 9.2 What we do not guarantee Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 18 of Law No. 17-99 on the Insurance Code, the following are excluded:

 a) the damages listed in Article 23 (exclusions common to all guarantees);  b) loss suffered when the engine is running at the time of the accident, with or without the keys left in the insured vehicle;  c) theft of the car insured by the person to whom it was loaned or rented;  d) robberies committed by members of the insured's family living under his roof, or with their complicity;  e) fraud or breach of trust as defined in Articles 540 and 547 of the Criminal Code;  f) thefts of elements located outside the passenger compartment and falling within the definition of the insured vehicle such as the wheels (tires and rims), spare wheels, exterior mirrors or radio antenna
